Foster Homes Needed
We still have a great need for Foster Homes!!! Long term foster homes that will allow us time to get these cats ready for adoptive families.

If you can foster, please email us at forgottenfelineshsv@yahoo.com

*We do require the cats to be INDOOR only*

If interested in adopting...we have several of the Limestone Cats listed on our Petfinder.com page.

Thursday, March 15th
Trying to get some updates from folks as to the status of this rescue. As soon as I find out, will post.

Again...everyone...Thank You!!
To be completely upfront and honest...
I found out this morning that the Hickams will be matching funds up to $3,000...I mean who really would have thought we would have raised this much money!! And they are truly very generous people to Forgotten Felines all year long!!

They also donated over $1,000 towards the medical care and feeding of the first several cats pulled from the property.

We are indebted to the Hickams and their continued monetary support not only with this rescue mission but all year long!!

THANK YOU HOMER & LINDA...
Mercy: Leukemia Positive Stunner
Her name is Mercy; she is one of the momma cats we pulled; she is leukemia positive and we are going to do a bone marrow test to verify.

We would love to find her a home without other cats, or with cats that are already Leukemia positive.

I do not have all the answers yet on her health, but would like to put feelers out there for a possible foster home or adoptive home. If you have question, concerns or are interested...please email us at forgottenfelineshsv@yahoo.com with a phone number and email address. Tell us about your family dynamics and any other animals in your home.

Mom & Kittens (vet visit)
From Momma Hickam:

Mom is looking pretty and she is a player and lover too. But the vet visit was rough on Curly Bill today he says!

Curly Bill is the second picture, Wyatt is the third picture.

They are 4.5 weeks old...Curly weighed 14 ounces. They will not be adopted out until they have been neutered; they need to be at least 3 pounds before that happens : )

More TV Coverage!!!
Ok, everyone...Rebecca Shlien from Channel 31 (WAAY) is doing a piece on out Limestone County Cats tonight at 10pm. Keep your eyes open for our Forgotten Felines Volunteer Michelle Maroon!!

Thank you WAAY-TV...Forgotten Felines is ever appreciative of our community support!!
TV Coverage
Many thanks to Mark Thornhill of WAFF Huntsville...they did a brief story on us on the 10pm news. They also have a link to our chip-in on their website under "You Saw it Here".

Tomorrow night, WHNT is supposed to air a story too. They recorded a session with the Hickams today...so keep ears open for that.
Changing the Goal...
This is always a learning curve for me...when I started the chip-in I guesstimated about $150 per cat...20 being the number of cats.

That number seems to be changing in the wrong direction. Each time Linda and Homer to back to the house, more and more cats seem to appear. As Linda stated...they love the wet food and come running when they hear those cans open.

Not only do we seem to have more cats to care for...but some are going to require additional veterinary care...we have one fella who is going to lose an eye...he has an upper respiratory infection that has been left untreated for too long.

It is because of these situations, that I am upping our goal to $5,000. If we reach it..Thank God...if we go over...I'm not stopping.

I try to aim as close to what I think we really need because I never want folks to think we are trying to take advantage of them.

Just know...this group of cats is in desperate condition. They will need everything and we just want to make sure we can provide what they need.

Look at these beautiful faces!!! Please consider being a foster parent...help us get these babies out of this horrible situation. The fast we can take them away, the faster we can get them on any medications they may need.
